Let's learn Japanese conversation from language exchange lesson!

• We introduce you our Japanese members who help you to learn Japanese.

• Please submit the application at the bottom of this page if you like to try 1 on 1 language exchange lesson.

• You can learn Japanese for free, in return you need to teach English for free.

• Learn Japanese: Our Japanese members are all native Japanese speakers and keen to learn and teach language. They like to have language exchange lessons regularly, so you can have a lot of opportunities to learn and speak Japanese.

• Not only Japanese language but culture/cooking/business,etc: Please tell us what you like to learn, you have an interest in on the application form. We introduce you our Japanese members who try to teach you what you like to learn.

• Teach English :Our Japanese members have basic English grammar skills, but they are not good at speaking English because they have few opportunities to practice conversation. So they like to have English conversation and improve their English speaking skills. Please correct their English when you don't understand their English.

You can select face to face and online language exchange.

• Face to face(in person) language exchange
  Regarding the face to face language exchange, we have language exchange members in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba area.

Application

StepⅠ:Introduction

• After we receive your application, we will introduce you our Japanese members as per your requests.

• After you check the member's profile, if you like to contact the member, we will exchange your email address with the member's email address.

Step Ⅱ:Trial language exchange

• Please take a trial language exchange lesson with the members and decide to continue to do the language exchange with the members or not

• At the trial language exchange, you can talk with your language partner's candidate about how to do the language exchange lesson each other.

• If you decide to continue the language exchange with the Japanese members, please go to Step Ⅲ(Payment). If you decide not to continue the language exchange with the members, you don't need to go to Step Ⅲ(Payment). We will try to introduce you other members if you like.

Step Ⅲ:Payment

• Introduction(Matching) fee is a result based fee:After the trial language exchange, we confirm with you and your language partner(Japanese member) if you will continue to do the language exchange or not.

• Only in case you and your language partner agree on continuing the language exchange, we will charge you the introduction(matching) fee. (You can select bank transfer or paypal. ※ If you make the payment through paypal, there's a 5% surcharge)

• You need to pay this introduction(matching) fee only once for matching up with one language partner.

Free Learning materials/exercises(optional)

• We have Japanese learning materials and exercises. If you like, please select 『Yes, I like』on the application form below. Then we will send you the sample page for learning materials and exercises.

• We recommend you learn the basics of Japanese with self-study exercises and practice speaking Japanese with your language partners.

  We are offering many learning Japanese materials. You can learn Japanese from basic to JLPT N5/N4 level with free video lessons/online flash cards/Vocabulary lists/grammar guidance

Application form

• We will reply to you by email within 24 hours after we get your application to confirm your application. Our email(info@learning-catchball.com) is sometimes misclassified as spam. So please check the spam box when you don't get a reply from us.

• Your personal information is not open to the public.

• Please note that depending on your conditions/requests, it takes time to arrange language partners or we can not arrange language partners for you. If we judge you are less motivated to learn Japanese language, we can not provide you with our language exchange partner's introduction service.

  We do not check each member's ID.
  We do not take any responsibility for any troubles between you and your language partners.

• ※Introduction(Matching) fee 5000yen : Please select "I agree". You need pay the introduction(matching) fee after you decide to do language exchange with our Japanese members. If you select "I don't agree", then we can't introduce you our Japanese members.

• Instagram username(account name) : This is optional. If we don't get your reply by email within certain period of time, we can contact you by Instagram to ask you to check our message. So if you don't check your emails very often, please fill in your Instagram's username(account name). Our Instagram's username is lcbcatchball.
